Here is a list of URLs and their brief descriptions. I have tried to list them in the order that they will make the most logical sense. Please let me know if you have questions. I have been researching this subject for quite awhile now, and would love it if this information helps even one other person!

An Introduction to Hormonal Imbalance and how it presents itself (symptoms, treatment etc). I had over 50% of these symptoms when I first started this adventure.

A good intro to estrogen dominance, with a good list of products to help with imbalance. I have researched a lot of these, and balanced price, practicality, etc. I've been taking the following: A B vitamin complex (with about 10-20 times the amount of B vitamins in a typical multivitamin), a Magnesium/Calcium supplement, and a DIM supplement (basically concentrated green veggies that combat excess xenoestrogens). More on progesterone cream options later.

Where you can buy progesterone cream (look for natural, but lab enhanced formula made from wild yam extract. It must be activated in the lab to have a noticeable effect). This is the brand I have been using. I am thinking of switching to a non-mineral oil formula next month for increased absorption (see next link).

Amy, This is great. Don't take this down and keep the info coming. I am so curious...b/c something is off in my body/metabolism (or so I thought). I never would have imagined a potential hormone imbalance. :) Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI can't WAIT to go through all this material! I mentioned Gerson Therapy and I read other material too which lead me to be taking lots of B complex, magnesium, zinc, niacin and others. I suspected the 'recommended' wasn't enough and want to take more but that much in vitamin form was hard on my tummy. Looking forward to learning more.
ReplyDeleteHey Amy, I don't know if you have read my blog. I have faced many of these symptoms since roughly 16, when I was put on birth control and an antidepressant. Been struggling ever since to come off. I was off of meds during pregnancy and for one 6 month span to which I had to go bck on because of panic attacks etc. Now a week chemical free. I plan on seeing Dr Darcy Dane from Functional Healthcare soon. Reading the info you provided just confirmes everything I already thought. Thank you so much for sharing :)
